Neighbor and Sister in Leaves

I really think this picture is very interesting. It's a slightly high angle, like we are the parents watching and laughing as our kids play, and wishing that we were apart of the action. It's a medium distance shot, so we can see the whole leaf fight, and it looks like it is in a front yard, or somewhere near a street, because you can see it in the background. I also like that you related it to the season, it seems very appropriate, and my eyes are drawn towards the bright smaller child's shirt color, and then the blurry leaves, and I almost try to peer closer to get a better glimpse on what is going on behind all of those leaves! The lighting is bright, because it is a happy scene, and it gives off a good feeling of childishness, and makes you wish you were young again, (even though I am pretty young myself) but young enough where you didn't care how much leaf crap was in your hair, you just had fun. GREAT PICTURE!

I also think this pic is great. I like that you took it as a medium shot, because I feel slightly involved and I can understand what is going on, but I myself am not getting covered in leaves! The bright lighting adds to the fun look of the pic too. -Andrea L

This picture instantly installed a feeling of longing within me, making me want to go out and play in the leaves aswell. Although we cannot see either of the two people's faces, we know that they are smililng and having fun. The medium shot shows just enough environnement so we have a general idea that the leaf fight took place in a front yard but the subject of the picture still takes up enough space that we are stay focused and involved with what is happening. The sunlight and lack of shadows contributes to the overall cheerful feel of the photo. In this pic I first noticed the two bodies and then also noticed little details(the campaign sign across the street and the brown ugg boots) which keeps the picture interesting.

Right away this picture makes me want to be in there playing. The flat angle and medium shot make you feel like you could be in there if you just took one more step. The leafs being blurry also remind me of my childhood because it went by so fast. Also the bright colors are very inviting.
